Frequently Asked Questions

What is the main difference between the two options?

The main difference is in the vehicle, the group size, the schedule, and an exclusive advantage in Garachico.

The Classic Tour is done during the day in a large bus (up to 40 people) and is ideal for seeing everything in bright light. Please note that getting on the bus wet is not allowed in this option, so swimming is not possible.

The Premium Route is carried out in the afternoon in a very comfortable minibus (maximum 8 people), offering a closer treatment. Moreover, only with this option will you be able to take a refreshing dip in the natural lava pools of Garachico, to later culminate the day on Mount Teide watching the sunset while toasting with cava.

Is food included in the excursion?

No, lunch is not included in any of the options to give you more freedom. We will make long stops in places like Garachico, where you will find everything from small local restaurants with typical Canarian food to faster options, adapting to all tastes and budgets.

Is it a physically demanding route?

No, it is an excursion cataloged as “Easy” difficulty. All transfers are made by vehicle and the stops at viewpoints, Masca, and Garachico consist of gentle walks on paved areas or short trails.

Is the road to Masca dangerous?

The road down to Masca is famous for being narrow and having sharp curves, but it is not dangerous! Our drivers are highly experienced professionals who drive this route daily. However, if you are prone to car sickness, we recommend taking an anti-sickness pill before leaving.

Will we be very cold on Mount Teide?

The temperature in the Teide National Park (at an altitude of over 2,000 meters) can be deceptive. Although it is hot on the coast, it is usually cool in the mountains, and if you choose the Premium option at sunset, temperatures drop drastically. Always bring a warm jacket or sweater!
