Ascend to the summit of Tenerife to enjoy the most viral and spectacular sunset on the island. We offer you a 4-hour VIP experience where you will stroll through the amazing Lunar Landscape of Mount Teide and top off the evening at the Chipeque Viewpoint, toasting with a glass of chilled cava as the sun disappears beneath an endless sea of clouds.

In Detail

Start your journey mid-afternoon from our office in Puerto de la Cruz or from the GF Noelia hotel (if you choose the pickup option). Aboard our exclusive premium minibus, you will observe how the coastal landscape transforms as we ascend towards the summits.

Our first stop will be at the La Bermeja Viewpoint, perfect for enjoying the first panoramic views of the majestic valley. From there, we will continue to the supernatural Minas de San José, a vast expanse of golden sand at an altitude of over 2,000 meters where you can stroll through the famous Lunar Landscape of Teide National Park.

Next, after a brief photo stop at the spectacular geological cut of La Tarta Viewpoint, we will head to the highlight of the evening: the Chipeque Viewpoint. This spot, famous for offering one of the best sunsets in the world, overlooks the characteristic sea of clouds formed by the trade winds.

To make this moment unforgettable, we will offer you a complimentary glass of chilled cava. You can toast while the sun sets, dyeing the sky in shades of pink, orange, and purple. After this spectacle, we will begin the comfortable descent back to Puerto de la Cruz at nightfall.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is stargazing with telescopes included in this tour?

No, the main focus of this route is to enjoy the daytime landscapes and experience the magic of the sunset. After the cava toast at the Chipeque Viewpoint, we will start our journey back to Puerto de la Cruz shortly after nightfall.

This is the ideal option if you prefer a more dynamic excursion that allows you to return to your hotel in time for dinner. If you are looking for an in-depth astronomical experience with telescopes and dinner, we recommend checking out our other Teide night tour options.

Do we visit the famous Chipeque Viewpoint that appears on social media?

Of course! It is the main star of this route. We will stop for 45 minutes at the Chipeque Viewpoint right at the “golden hour” to watch the sun set over the sea of clouds, accompanying the moment with a glass of cava.

Why do I need to bring a jacket in summer?

Even if it’s 30 degrees down on the coast, we are going up to over 2,000 meters in altitude. When the sun starts to go down, the temperature on Mount Teide drops rapidly and it can get quite cold or windy. It’s better to be prepared and bring warm clothing (long pants and a jacket).

Can children go on this excursion?

Yes, the excursion is suitable for children aged 5 and up. They will really enjoy the volcanic landscapes that look like another planet. Just keep in mind that the complimentary cava toast is strictly for adults over 18; for the little ones, we can offer alternatives like water or juice.

Will I get carsick in the van?

The drive up to the National Park involves navigating a winding mountain road for about 45 minutes. Riding in a premium minibus makes the driving much smoother than in large buses, but if you are very prone to motion sickness, we suggest taking a preventive pill 30 minutes before departure.
