In Detail
We will begin our adventure from our office in Puerto de la Cruz. Aboard a comfortable 9-seater premium minibus, we will head straight to the coast to visit the beautiful and historic town of Garachico. We will take advantage of the pleasant weather to stroll through this charming village and enjoy a refreshing dip in “El Caletón”, its famous natural pools formed by volcanic lava.
We will continue our route, heading into the mountains to the remote and peaceful hamlet of Teno Alto. At the emblematic Bar Los Bailaderos, time seems to have stood still; you will have a break there to taste authentic Canarian tapas and local cheeses (food and drinks not included). After soaking up the local culture, we will make a short stop at the Altos de Baracán Viewpoint, where you will enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the island’s contrasts.
The highlight will arrive with our visit to Masca. Hidden deep within an impressive ravine, this picturesque village will captivate you with its trails, traditional architecture, and movie-like landscapes. After exploring Masca, we will begin a comfortable journey straight back to Puerto de la Cruz, leaving you with free time to enjoy the rest of your day.

Why does the tour end at 3 PM?
We have designed this agile “half-day” (5 hours) format so you don’t feel like you’re losing your whole holiday day. This way, you visit the most incredible spots in the northwest in the morning and return in time to eat, rest or enjoy your hotel pool in the afternoon.
Is food included in the tour price?
No, food is not included. However, our first big stop is in Teno Alto (at Bar Los Bailaderos) mid-morning. It’s the perfect opportunity to buy and taste some delicious Canarian tapas and local cheeses at your own expense before continuing the route.
Will we be able to swim in Garachico?
Yes! When we arrive in Garachico at midday, the weather is usually ideal. If sea conditions permit, you will have free time to take a refreshing dip in “El Caletón”, its famous natural lava pools. Wear your swimsuit under your clothes and don’t forget your towel!
Is it a physically demanding excursion?
Not at all. It is a very comfortable panoramic sightseeing route. The stops include gentle walks at your own pace through cobbled streets to take photos and enjoy the surroundings. We do not do any strenuous hiking, but we do recommend comfortable closed-toe shoes.
Is the road to Masca and Teno very winding?
Access to these hamlets is via winding and narrow mountain roads; it’s part of the charm of reaching hidden corners. Travelling in a 9-seater premium minibus makes the journey much smoother than in large buses, but if you are prone to motion sickness, we recommend taking a preventative pill 30 minutes before departure.
