Enter the most spectacular animal park in Europe. Specifically, experience the magic of nature up close with unique orca and dolphin exhibitions. Furthermore, explore the largest penguin and parrot reserve on the planet.

In Detail

Considered the best animal park in the world, Loro Parque is a must-see on your trip to Tenerife. Located in Puerto de la Cruz, this immense tropical paradise invites you to connect with nature in an educational, exciting, and environmentally friendly way.

Throughout your tour, you will be left speechless by the live shows. Specifically, you will be able to see the strength and intelligence of the orcas, the friendliness of the dolphins and sea lions, and of course, the colorful parrot show.

Show schedules:

  • Sea lions: 9:45 AM · 10:45 AM · 1:45 PM · 2:45 PM
  • Parrots: 10:25 AM · 12:30 PM · 2:30 PM · 3:30 PM · 4:45 PM
  • Dolphins: 11:00 AM · 1:00 PM · 4:15 PM
  • Orcas: 1:55 PM · 3:15 PM

(Each presentation lasts about 20 minutes. Therefore, we advise you to arrive a little early to get a good seat).

However, the magic does not end here. Can you imagine traveling to Antarctica without leaving the Canary Islands? First, in the Planet Penguin, you will discover the largest penguinarium in the world. Furthermore, it is a perfect recreation of the polar ecosystem with real snow and penguins jumping around you.

Finally, walk under the sharks in the aquarium tunnel, observe the majestic gorillas, tigers, and jaguars, and immerse yourself in an impressive botanical garden. It is truly a magical day that you will always remember!

Frequently Asked Questions

Are all the shows included in the ticket?

Yes! Specifically, with your general admission, you have access to all the enclosures and all the shows (orcas, dolphins, sea lions, and parrots) without having to pay any extra inside the park.

How much time do I need to see the entire park?

Loro Parque is huge. Therefore, to be able to see everything calmly, enjoy the shows, and make stops, we highly recommend dedicating a minimum of 5 to 6 hours. Indeed, this is practically the entire day.

Can I bring food and drinks or go out to eat?

Yes! Unlike other parks, at Loro Parque it is allowed to enter with your own food and drink, and they have a designated picnic area. Alternatively, if you prefer to go out to eat (for example, to the spectacular Brunelli’s Steak House located right opposite), you can leave and re-enter on the same day. You just have to notify the staff at the exit so they can stamp your hand.

How does the free train from Puerto de la Cruz work?

It is very easy and fun. First, the yellow ‘Express Train’ departs from Plaza de los Reyes Católicos (opposite San Telmo beach) every 20 minutes, starting at 9:30 AM. Then, it will drop you off right at the park’s door and also take you back down when you are finished.

What happens if it rains?

The park is designed with many indoor enclosures (such as the penguinarium or the aquarium) and paths covered with vegetation. Consequently, the visit can be done perfectly even if the day is cloudy or there is light precipitation.
