In Detail
A try dive in Costa Adeje is the ideal first step to discovering the underwater world. You don’t need any previous experience, just a desire to have fun. We will start at our partner center in Puerto Colón, where you will receive a simple theoretical lesson taught by professional instructors.
We will teach you how the equipment works, basic safety rules, and how to communicate underwater. Once equipped, we will board the boat and sail to a calm, shallow water area. Your instructor will guide you by the hand at all times, helping you acclimatize at your own pace until you achieve your first underwater breath.
You will enjoy a dive of approximately 45 minutes (depending on your air consumption), enough time to marvel at the marine life of the south coast of Tenerife, observe colorful schools of fish, and experience the incredible feeling of weightlessness.
No one stays on land! You can all go on the same boat. If you travel with friends who already have a license, they can book their Dive for Certified Divers. And if someone prefers to just enjoy from the surface, they can join the group with our Snorkeling Safari.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to know how to swim very well?
You must know how to swim at a basic level and feel comfortable in the water. However, you don’t need to be an expert swimmer, as the buoyancy compensator (BCD) provides buoyancy and the instructor will be controlling your position at all times.
Will my ears hurt when going down?
No, if you follow our instructions. During the previous theoretical class, we will teach you a very simple technique (called equalization) to equalize the pressure in your ears, exactly the same as you do on an airplane when taking off.
What maximum depth will we reach?
For regulatory and safety reasons, try dives are done at shallow depths. Normally we will go down to a maximum of 6 to 10 meters, which is more than enough to enjoy great visibility and lots of marine life.
What happens if I get nervous underwater?
It is completely normal to feel nervous the first time. Your instructor is highly trained to handle these situations. We will go little by little, respecting your pace. If you feel overwhelmed, the instructor will take you safely to the surface in seconds.
Can I bring my own water camera (GoPro)?
For safety reasons, we recommend that you do not take cameras on your first try dive. Your focus should be on breathing, relaxing, and following the guide’s instructions. In addition, we offer a professional photography service so you can take the best memory home without distractions.
