Important Information
Frequently Asked Questions
Are telescopes used during the observation?
No, the main objective of this excursion is to enjoy the firmament just as our ancestors did. First, observation is done with the naked eye. Meanwhile, our Starlight guide tells us stories and points out the constellations with a specialized laser pen.
Is the ascent on the Teide Cable Car included?
No. This excursion has an afternoon-night schedule focused on the sunset and astronomy. Therefore, the use of the cable car is not part of the itinerary.
What kind of clothing should I wear for the excursion?
It is extremely important to wear warm clothing (thick jackets, long pants, and even a scarf). Because we are at an altitude of over 2,000 meters, temperatures drop very drastically at night. Indeed, this is especially true in the winter months.
Is food included in the price?
Yes, this excursion includes dinner at a local restaurant. Therefore, you can comfortably recharge your energy before starting with the interpretation of the night sky.
Will we be able to see stars if the sky is cloudy?
The Teide National Park is located above the “sea of clouds”. Consequently, this guarantees clear skies in the vast majority of cases. However, if an exceptional storm prevents the activity, we would notify you in advance to find an alternative.
