In Detail
We will start the day by meeting our guide at the Mamio Verde office in Puerto de la Cruz. We will hop into a comfortable 9-seater van for a scenic drive of approximately one hour, crossing the north of the island until we enter the mountains of the spectacular Teno Rural Park.
Our base of operations on the ground will be the El Palmar area. There we will hand over your off-road electric scooter and safety equipment. This route stands out for its “mixed” nature: we will test the incredible versatility of the e-scooters by alternating quiet stretches of local asphalt roads with fun off-road dirt trails.
Guided by an expert, we will ride through the valley making strategic stops at places like the El Palmar Viewpoint or the Bar Los Bailaderos area. We will ascend to the start of the Punta de Teno route, a privileged spot for photographing the towering cliffs and the vastness of the Atlantic Ocean.
At one of these viewpoints surrounded by nature, we will take a break to recharge our batteries with a well-deserved sandwich and a soft drink, included in the excursion. Finally, we will enjoy a one-hour guided descent back through El Palmar to return the scooters and begin our van journey back to Puerto de la Cruz.

What exactly does "Mixed" route mean?
It means we will experience two types of riding. We will alternate natural trails and dirt tracks (off-road) with stretches of quiet mountain asphalt roads where there is hardly any traffic, enjoying the scooter’s maximum versatility.
Will we be riding the electric scooter for 5 hours?
No. The total duration of 5 hours includes the van transfer time from Puerto de la Cruz to the Teno Massif (approximately 1 hour each way), photo stops at viewpoints, time for the picnic, and of course, the actual riding time.
Do I need a driving licence for the asphalt sections?
No, as they are classified as Personal Mobility Vehicles (VMP), you do not need any kind of licence or permit to ride them on our guided tour. The only legal safety condition is that you must be at least 16 years old.
Is it a physically demanding route?
The scooter does all the heavy lifting of accelerating up the hills for you, so you won’t get tired pedalling. However, it does require a good sense of balance (like riding a bike) and concentration during the tour.
What kind of food is included in the tour?
We will carry a picnic bag in our luggage that includes a tasty sandwich (dietary options available if notified in advance) and a refreshing drink to enjoy at one of the route’s spectacular viewpoints.
