In Detail
We will begin our adventure from our office in Puerto de la Cruz. Aboard a comfortable 9-seater premium minibus, we will head to the beautiful and historic town of Garachico. There we will take a stroll through its charming cobbled streets to soak up its volcanic history and traditional architecture.
Next, we will head to the Buenavista del Norte bus station. To protect the natural environment, access to our next stop is restricted. There we will catch the local “guagua” (public bus, ticket included) which will take us along a spectacular coastal road to the Punta de Teno Lighthouse. You will enjoy an hour of free time in this magical corner, the perfect moment to take a refreshing dip in its crystal-clear waters while admiring the immense Los Gigantes cliffs from sea level.
After taking the bus back to Buenavista, we will board our minibus to head into the mountains. We will make a photo stop at the Altos de Baracán Viewpoint to admire the island’s contrasts before reaching Masca. This picturesque village, hidden in a vertigo-inducing ravine, will captivate you with its movie-like landscapes. Finally, we will begin the comfortable journey straight back to Puerto de la Cruz.

Why does the tour end at 3:00 PM?
We have designed this agile half-day format (5 and a quarter hours) so you don’t feel like you’re losing your entire vacation day. This way, you visit the most incredible spots in the northwest in the morning and return in time to eat, rest, or enjoy your hotel pool in the afternoon.
Is food included in the excursion price?
No, food is not included. As this is a dynamic route to make the most of the morning, we highly recommend having a good breakfast beforehand or bringing a snack and water in your backpack to have during your free time at the Punta de Teno Lighthouse.
Will we be able to swim?
Yes! Although in Garachico we will only take a historic walk, you will enjoy free time at the spectacular Punta de Teno Lighthouse. It is the perfect place to take a refreshing dip in crystal-clear waters with direct views of the Los Gigantes cliffs. Don’t forget your swimsuit and towel!
Why do we take a public bus (guagua) to Punta de Teno?
Access to the Teno Rural Park is highly restricted to private vehicles to protect this fragile natural environment. The only allowed means of transport is the local bus. Don’t worry! The return ticket is fully included in the price of the excursion.
Are the mountain roads very winding?
The access to Masca runs along winding and narrow mountain roads; it’s part of the charm of reaching hidden corners. By traveling in a 9-seater premium minibus, the journey is much smoother than in large buses, but if you are prone to motion sickness, we recommend taking a preventive pill 30 minutes before leaving.
